As the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex continues to grow, more fun and exciting things are on the horizon, which means we Texans must stay informed! There are tons of events and business openings occurring that I guarantee you want to attend.
Slutty Vegan
Slutty Vegan is coming to Texas!!! If you missed the word, the Atlanta-based restaurant is bringing its goodness to Dallas. Slutty Vegan will open its doors in May 2023 at 2702 Main St in Deep Ellum.
The chain has everything from plant-based and vegan burgers to slutty fries to tasty desserts. Slutty Vegan ensures that being vegan is not boring. With the outpouring of love that owner Pinky Cole has received at her other locations, you may want to be in line the day before opening!
Tacos & Tequila Festival
Since we're in Texas, you cannot pass up on the opportunity to eat tacos. And then you add tequila, which sounds like a win-win to me. The Tacos & Tequila Festival is going down on May 20, 2023, at the Panther Island Pavilion in Fort Worth, Texas.
There will be performances by artists including Ja Rule, Flo Rida, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, and the Ying Yang Twins. Several sponsors and vendors will be in attendance for your food and drink needs. Grab those tickets today because they are going fast. This is not an event you want to miss!
The 2nd Annual Art Inspire Healing Festival
If you want to be present in a space focused on healing and positive energy, you may want to purchase some tickets for the Art Inspired Healing Festival. With May being Mental Health Awareness Month, it is only fitting that you go and get your mind right.
By visiting the festival, you can expect things like yoga, vendors, workshops, art making, and much more. Bring everyone you know to Fair Park in Dallas on May 6, 2023. The event is family-friendly!
Taste of Soul Mesquite
Calling all Christian believers and anyone who enjoys gospel music and a good time. Taste of Soul in Mesquite will have live performances, food trucks, and the opportunity to shop from vendors. Head out to Trinity Christian Worship Church on May 28 with your family and friends to enjoy your Memorial Day weekend. The day will be filled with inspiration and good vibes.
Plus, the event is FREE, but be sure to register here. All of the proceeds from Taste of Soul will be used for an orphanage project in Sierra Leone in West Africa.
Step outside this summer.
DFW is just getting started with events, festivals, and openings underway. Now that the weather is warm, find yourself outside, creating memories and enjoying the Lone Star state!
